Facts About “NetWeaving – Pay It Forward Week”
• The event will take place the entire week of March 14-18, 2011.
• The mission is to educate as many people as possible that week about the benefits of “NetWeaving” - a Golden Rule form of networking – inspiring people to ‘host’ NetWeaving meetings to introduce two people to each other, or to share resources – and ask each of the two ‘hostees’ to then ‘pay it forward’ and to do the same for two other people.
• These NetWeaving Hosting meetings will be occurring in different venues:
¬ Inside restaurants, coffee shops, business clubs, hotels, etc.
¬ Inside companies:
♣ ‘one-on-one’ meetings set up cross-department and across different areas of the company to increase appreciation for other person’s roles and create a more collaborative environment.
♣ NetWeaving ‘hosting’ meetings set up by a NetWeaver within the company to introduce two persons in the same department or other area who would benefit meeting and knowing each other.
¬ Inside Chambers of Commerce or any organization holding their regular meeting that week.
• A LinkedIn Group has been set up – Pay It Forward Atlanta – creating a way for those who are big fans of NetWeaving, and especially the ‘pay it forward’ concept, to share experiences and report on some of the success stories from their NetWeaving and their Pay It Forward activities.
• Sponsorships are being solicited with monies raised being divided equally between
Junior Achievement (www.georgia.ja.org) and
Pay It Forward Foundation”. (www.payitforwardfoundation.org).
